1. Making Words

    • Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words.1 (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/, or /x/.)

1=7-8                          3=4

 

2=5-6                          4=3 or below

 

    • Add or substitute individual sounds (phonemes) in simple, one-syllable words to make new words.

  1.  Now take away the “f” .  What do you have? (at)

All 5 correct         = 1

      4 correct         = 2

      3 correct         = 3
