Description
In this section, you will explore your local school improvement process and examine local progress toward technology readiness.
1. Explore Your Local Process
Start the data driven dialogue with an exploration of how your building is getting ready for online assessments. Find out how school improvement teams utilize the data dialogue process, and how your technology director/technology staff are preparing the network, infrastructure and devices to be ready.
1.1. Interview your school improvement team
What does your building school improvement team do? How do they collect data? What types of data do they collect? What types of reports do they create? How do they data conference about the information? How do they determine goals and measure the progress?
Interview your school improvement team members about your local process. (This can be done individually or as a whole group discussion). If you have a process in place, you will utilize this protocol for Module 10.
If you do not have a data protocol in place, review the resources on Data Driven Dialogue to 1) predict, 2) observe, 3) make meaning, and 4) plan next steps.
Write a summary and include in your Digital Portfolio.
1.2. Interview your technology director
MTRAx
What does your building/district MTRAx report say? Is your building tech ready for online assessments? What were the ratings for local devices, networks, and infrastructure in the latest report? What ongoing projects or concerns influence progress towards being tech ready?
Interview your technology coordinator about your local MTRAx process data. (This can be done individually or as a whole group discussion).
Write a summary and include in your Digital Portfolio.
