Quest 3: Dropbox Investigation
Special Agent Briefing:
Dropbox is a cloud based application that allows you to store files. Currently, it is free to use a small amount of storage. This can be really useful if you don’t have a flash drive with you when you need to save a file or if you need to share a file.
Your quest is to retrieve the secret passcode from the SSI Dropbox account. When you have completed this quest, you will have completed the Cloud Management Mission. You will receive your badge and will be a Cloud Management SAC (secret agent in charge).
Steps:
1. Go to dropbox.com and create an account
a. Username: don’t ever use your real name as part of a username
b. Password: make a powerful password
c. Record your username and password in your LOCKBOX
(See your SSI for instructions about your Lockbox)
2. Create a folder and name it “your name - Cloud Management”
3. Find out your SSI’s email address and share the folder.
a. If you don’t know how to share, watch this video.
4. Once shared, your SSI will place a secret passcode in your folder.
5. Open the Secret Passcode, take a screen capture of the passcode.
6. Save it to your Secret File Space.
Completing this Quest
By completing this assignment you are certifying that you have created a Dropbox account, created a folder and shared it with your SSI. You took a screen capture of the passcode you received and saved it to your Secret File Space.
Congratulations, you have reached the level of SAC (secret agent in charge)
