9.5 Assessment Item Creation and Sharing
Classroom Readiness Assessment Item Database
Congratulations on completing your online assessment item. Hopefully the process you went through in this module will help you to create future online assessment items.
Now it is time to share your work with other educators. To help you with this process, you will use the Classroom Readiness Assessment Item Database. This database has been created to house all of the assessment items developed by teachers participating in the Classroom Readiness activity. It is also open to all Michigan educators to use and share.
Before submitting your assessment item, please be sure to review the comments on your item/task specification table from the last assignment and make any appropriate changes.
To submit your item to the Assessment Item Database (AID):
- Go to http://aid.22itrig.org. (Use Chrome or Firefox as your web browser.)
- If you are a first time user at this site, you will need to register by clicking on the Click here to register link in the LOGIN box.
- Click on Add Item in the top blue ribbon.
- Have your Digital Portfolio open in another tab so that you are able to copy and paste the required information into each cell.
- Once all cells are filled in, click Save Item at the bottom of the page.
- Click on My Items in the blue ribbon and copy the web url for the item that you just created so that you are able to add your link to your digital portfolio.
As time allows, you will want to explore this website. Things to notice: other items added by teachers across the State, you have the ability to review and rank items, and you have the ability to create and share assessments with items available in this database.
